Chemin de la Corniche – “The Most Beautiful Balcony Of Europe”

Chemin de la Corniche

it was A bright, sunny day in Luxembourg City, where every corner seemed to hold a piece of history. We started our journey at “the Cathedrale Notre Dame”, marveling at its grandeur. Then, We discovered the enchanting “Chemin de la Corniche”, often called “The most beautiful balcony of Europe”. This winding pathway offered stunning views of the city’s historic houses on one side and a lush river valley on the other. It was like walking through a dream, where every turn unveiled a new breathtaking sight.

Next, We delved into the mysterious depths of “Casemates du Bock”, an underground world with a rich history. Crossing the “Pont du Stierchen” thereafter was like crossing into another era and we reached “The Old Quarter of Luxembourg City”, and a visit to Neimenster added to the day’s charm.

Then, like a blessing, We stumbled upon the “Updown Bar” nestled on Mount du Grund, overlooking the serene River Alzette. From this vantage point, I could take in the breathtaking views of both Chemin de la Corniche above and the Old Quarter below. The name “Updown Bar” suddenly made perfect sense.

To recharge, I decided to experience the local Luxembourgh Pilsner beer called “Bofferding Pils”. While it may be considered a regular pilsner, but on that sunny day, it tasted like pure refreshment. The beer was a sparkling, golden elixir that looked as inviting as the view itself.

The beer had a classic and inviting appearance, with its golden hue shimmering in the sunlight. It was like a promise of cool relief on a warm day. The aroma was subtle, with hints of malt and a touch of floral notes. It was like a gentle whisper of what was to come.

The Taste was clean, crisp, and incredibly refreshing. The mild malty sweetness delighted harmoniously with a subtle hop character. It was the kind of beer that made you savor every sip.

The aftertaste left a clean, crisp memory, like a gentle breeze. It was a reminder of the beer’s delightful refreshment..

Bofferding Pilsner Beer may not be the most exotic brew, but on that day, in that setting, it was nothing short of perfection.

Sitting at the Updown Bar, sipping Bofferding Pilsner beer, and taking in the breathtaking views was a moment of pure tranquility.

It was beautiful, relaxing, soothing, and oh-so-comfortable.

In summary, my day in Luxembourg City was a journey through history and beauty. From the iconic landmarks to the tranquil river, every moment was a testament to the city’s charm. The Updown Bar provided a perfect respite, and Bofferding Pilsner Beer from Luxembourg’s Oldest brewery was the ideal companion.
