Beer Name : Charger Scottish Beer,

Origin : United Kingdom,
Company founded in : 1740,
Beer Type : Lager,
SRM : 8,

About the Beer:
Pours in a perfectly clear and in almost crystalline pure golden colour, just like young white wine. The head is crackly with carbonation and only manages to form a filmy lining with some loose and sudsy lacing. I like the clarity and brightness in the body but otherwise it leaves a little to be desired.
Aroma is crisp and a little organic. Very light on in most respects, but the cleanness is pleasant.
It tasted a lot different than what I thought it was going to be. Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of grainy malts with some corn adjuncts that give it a hint of sweetness. Followed by light flavors of grassy hops towards the finish. This beer has a light amount of bitterness which fades relatively quickly.
There’s nothing really special that stands out about the taste of this beer, but it is easy to drink and doesn’t have too much in the way of adjunct aromas or flavors.
History:
Wellpark Brewery was originally known as the Drygate Brewery. It was founded as H & R Tennent in 1740 at Drygate Bridge, near Glasgow Cathedral, by Hugh and Robert Tennent, although brewing had taken place at the same site on the banks of the Molendinan Burn by their ancestor, Robert Tennent, since 1556, making it the oldest continuous commercial concern in Glasgow.
Tennent’s Lager is Scotland’s best-selling pale lager, garnering approximately 60% of the Scottish lager market. The lager was first brewed in 1885 by Hugh Tennent and in 1893 it won the highest award at the Chicago World’s Fair. Tennent’s Lager is certified by the Vegetarian Society as being suitable for vegetarians.
