Beer Name :  Stella Artois – Belgian Pilsner,
Manufacturer : Brouwerij Artois,
Origin : Leuven, Belgium,
Company founded in : 1926 (Brewery was founded in 1366),
Beer Type : Belgian Pilsner,
SRM : 8,
Abv : 5.2%,
IBU : 8,
About the Beer :
Beer was served in a very beautiful Stella Artois Glass. Very clear gold color with decent white head made up of loose bubbles. Tons of visible carbonation.
Aroma is clean water barley and malts, something like a normal beer aroma should be. Nothing really jumping out here with a faint hint of hops in the background.
The taste was very good while a bit plain. It tastes like a clean refreshing lager on the lighter side without any adjunct flavours.
Palate feel is very light and crisp across the tongue with all its carbonation. Finish is pretty clean with a bit of watery feel on the back.
The beer did come out fairly well as the beer was warming in my Stella Artois’s beautiful glass, but still not as bad as some reviewers state.

If it were cheaper, this would be quite an astounding beer. But for something that positions itself with other quality imported beers, the taste really does not live up to the name.
It’s good beer choice for hanging out with friends unfocused on the beer, but if you’re drinking to enjoy the beer itself then there really is not much character here.

Overall I feel this beer is worth a try from a tap. Taste seems to be cleaner than the other adjunct lagers and also seems to be a bit lighter. Not a bad beer at all. Definitely you can try This Along with Your Friends. Ensure It Is Chilled Well

My Own Rating:

Aroma : 7/10
Appearance : 6/10
Taste : 6/10
Palate : 6/10
Overall : 6/10

History of the Brewery:

Stella Artois is a Belgian Pilsner which was first brewed in 1926 by Brouwerij Artois in Leuven, Belgium .  Stella Artois is now owned by Interbrew International B.V. which is the subsidiary of the world’s largest brewer, Anheuser – Bush InBev
In 1708, Sebastien Artois became head brewer at the Den Hoorn Brewery in Leuven, a brewery established in 1366. Artois purchased the brewery in 1717 and renamed it Brouweriji Artois.
In 1926, Brouweriji Artois launched Stella as a Christmas Beer, named after the Christmas Star.
In 1988, Brouwerij Artois was a founding member in the merger creating Interbrew.
That year, Taylorbrands founder David Taylor created the current package design, bottle design and shape.
The original 1926 bottle label inspired the design, which replaced a 1960s design. The design incorporates the horn symbol and the 1366 date of the original Den Hoorn brewery.
The label also shows medals for excellence awarded to Brouwerij Artois at a number of trade exhibitions in Belgium in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The name Stella Artois is held within a cartouche which was influenced by the style of Belgian architecture in Leuven.
In 2004, Interbrew was part of the merger creating InBev and by 2006, total annual production volume of Stella Artois exceeded one billion litres.
You may have heard that Stella is sometimes called “Wife Beater” :
In the UK in particular, Stella is a popular choice of beer for “lager louts” and “chav”. These are the stereotypical binge drinking and pub brawling scoundrels who you normally find them drinking on streets and at train stations.
Stella Artois seems to be the beer of choice for such people could be put down to the fact that it is one of the cheaper beers in the UK, offering good value for money interms of alcohol content.
PS: Special Thanks to Jack Ward for taking me to one of the best Pubs in Dubai where I was able to enjoy this Beer.
