Recently, I visited my Best friend Rohin’s home in Brussels, and he introduced me to His all time favourite Beer – “La Trappe Trappist Quadrupel Beer”. I’d experienced Doubel and tripel Trappist beers before, but this was my first time trying a Quadrupel Beer, and I must say, it blew my mind. It’s without a doubt one of the greatest beer I’ve ever Experienced.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to my friend Rohin for introducing me to this incredible beer. It was an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to sharing many more such beer adventures with you from our bENELUX Trip. Cheers to great beers and great friends!

Coming back to La trappe Trappist Quadrupel Ale. This beer poured a beautiful deep, dark color that made it look rich and inviting. It had a creamy, tan head that stuck around for a while, leaving some lovely lacing on the glass. Right away, it looked like a top-notch brew.

a fantastic combination of sweet caramel, toffee, and dark fruit aromas hit me when I took a whiff of this beer. It tasted like a delectable dessert in a glass. There were notes of raisins and fruits, as well as a little touch of sugar. It smelled like a warm & cosy hug.

The flavour was where this beer really shone. It was a flavour symphony, with deep caramelised sweetness leading the way. Tastes of Fruits & dates were dancing on my taste-senses, all sweet and exquisite. It featured a hint of molasses and Belgian candi sugar, which added to its richness. Despite the fact that it contained 10% alcohol, it was smooth and pleasant.

The deliciousness didn’t end with the first taste. The aftertaste was equally enticing. It left a nice, lasting sensation, like a warm hug. The sweet maltiness lingered, reminding me how delicious each sip was.

The Trappist Quadrupel from La Trappe is more than simply a beer; it’s an experience. It’s like drinking a work of art created by specialists. The intricacy of flavours and their interplay is just mind-boggling. What’s even more unexpected is that, despite its high alcohol concentration, it’s remarkably smooth. This beer is a real find and a must-try.

This fantastic beer is produced by the Koningshoeven Brewery, which is housed in the Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeven Abbey in the Netherlands. Since 1884, these monks have been producing beer and have become masters at it. They are the sole Trappist brewery in the Netherlands, which is quite an honour in the beer industry.
