Hazy Jane Beer is a 5% Alcohol New England IPA Beer, brewed by BrewDog based in Ellon, Scotland. It is brewed with oats, wheat, and rye malts. Hopped with Amarillo, Hallertauer Blanc, Magnum, and Mandarina Bavaria.
When poured into a beautiful beer glass, you get an exceptionally hazy, almost opaque pale amber hue. It yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a patchy surface layer with a good amount of lacing.
It Emanates an aroma of overwhelmingly fruity hops with hints of grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruit, earthy yeast and faint grainy malt. Smells like a hop bonanza – amazing!
The mouthfeel is full and well-rounded without being chewy or overwhelming. Hazy Jane Beer has a juice-like sweetness to it as well. Very refreshing and tasty experience. For many, the sweetness can be a little strong in this style. Hazy Jane has a prominent sweet side to it.
The finish is mouth-watering and smooth. Per the style, there was nearly no bitterness to it. Again, for those that typically do not like IPA Beers, this makes Hazy Jane a great option. Personally, I love IPA Beer to be a bit bitter.
Overall Hazy Jane is a unique NEIPA Beer with low background bitterness, loaded with intense juicy fruit character.
This is a very tropical Beer and looks great, while the aroma and flavour provide an avalanche of fruity hop notes and subtle yeast.
