About The Beer:
Golden hue that turned slightly amber under certain light. About a finger of white, foamy head that settles down very quickly. Simple and good, but I feel like they could have done a little more with the style. It has a citrus aroma and the lemon character is easily the strongest aspect of the nose. Unlike any other Hefeweizen I’ve had. It has hints of the Hefeweizen yeast and malty sweetness as well.

The taste is strong with radiant lemon flavor which gives it an upbeat, effervescent taste. Yeast stays in the background just to provide some backing. It’s delicious but I just suggest a little more variety, i.e.  like more taste of Banana to it as it is a Hefe and would have been a perfect combination of sweet and citrusy. Creamy, medium mouthfeel and low carbonation, Finish is slightly tarty and very crisp.
If you are looking for a simple light sweet wheat beer then Franconia Wheat Beer is the beer for you.

My Own Rating:

Overall : 7/10

History of the Brewery :

Franconia Brewing Company is situated in McKinney, Texas, USA. Their brew master, Dennis Wehrmann, is an experienced brewer from Nuremberg, Germany, with a family history in the brewing industry. Dennis started building Franconia in 2007, and on February 26, 2008, they produced their first batch of this beer.
I was glad to see that Franconia Brewing Company have taken several measures in the Brewery to Go Green.
