History:
The Weihenstephan Brewery can trace its roots to 768, as the oldest still existing brewery in the world. It is located upon the Weihenstephan hill, surrounded by the comparatively very young Weihenstephan science center of the Technical University of Munich. And so, a unique tradition and brewing culture developed over the centuries. Today, Korbinian’s heirs use the most modern technology, but they never forget their own history and their own high standards. This allows them to brew a variety of beers of the highest possible quality.
About the Beer:
The look of this beer is phenomenal and taste is just out of this world, It is a golden-yellow top fermented wheat beer, with its fine-poured white foam, smells of cloves and banana flavour. Slick full body with perfect carbonation and well balanced with a pleasant rich sweet taste, a slightly sharp and crispy citrus and herbal feel. Well intensified and short clean finish, ending with pleasant floral spices and fruity sugary banana and honey feel lingering on the tongue.
Overall an exquisite craft offering complex and delicious flavors, great freshness, extremely well balanced, and a true joy to drink. If you haven’t experienced this beer, go out and find it as soon as you can.
One day I would definitely like to visit Weihenstephan Brewery, experience nearly a thousand years of brewing history and how did they sustain this Premium Quality Beer.
